Description

Warm, creamy crockpot cheesy potatoes made with simple halal-friendly ingredients. A cozy slow cooker side that fits family dinners, gatherings, and holidays.


Ingredients

  • 32 oz frozen diced potatoes
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped green onions, diced onions, extra cheese, bell pepper

Instructions

  1. Spray the crockpot with a light coat of cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, mix the melted butter, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the frozen potatoes to the crockpot.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the potatoes and add the cheese.
  5. Stir gently until everything is coated.
  6. Cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until the potatoes turn soft.
  7. Stir before serving and let the dish sit for 5 minutes so it thickens slightly.

  • Freshly shredded cheese melts smoother than packaged shredded cheese.
