Ingredients

2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour (with xanthan gum)

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup Greek yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon water

Optional toppings: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat & Prep:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt.

3️⃣ Incorporate Yogurt:

  • Add Greek yogurt to the dry mixture and stir until it forms a dough. Knead lightly until smooth.

4️⃣ Shape the Bagels:

  • Divide the dough into 6 equal parts. Roll each piece into a ball, then use your fingers to poke a hole in the center, shaping it into a bagel.

5️⃣ Egg Wash & Toppings:

  • In a small bowl, beat the egg with water. Brush the tops of the bagels with egg wash and sprinkle with desired toppings.

6️⃣ Bake:

  • Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

7️⃣ Cool & Serve:

  • Allow the bagels to cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
